Algebra I - Number Line, Adding and Subtracting

Number Line

Number line or real number line is a line with a lot of numbers on it actually it has every number on it is usually drawn as a horizontal line, we use visually display real numbers by present them with unique points on a line. The real number associated with a point is called a coordinate and a point on the real number line that is associated with a coordinate is called its graph.

To create a number line, we draw a horizontal line with arrows on both ends to indicate that it continues without bound and then pick any point to represent origin with the number zero.

Separate lengths on each side of the origin and name every point to define the scale. Positive real numbers lie on the right of the number zero and negative real numbers lie to the left and number zero is origin in middle point of positive and negative.

Adding and Subtracting

A positive number added to a positive number always give you a positive result, a negative number added to a negative number get negative. Order operations of addition and subtraction from left to right.

Algebra I - Addition and Subtraction Number - Part 01:

Integers are positive whole numbers, zero, and negative whole numbers.
The absolute value of a positive number equals that number.
The absolute value of zero is zero.
To find the absolute value of a negative number just drop the minus sign.
Absolute value tells us the size of a number without caring the sign whether it’s positive or negative.
Distance between number line.
